PU cover/ case. Wont wake/ sleep mobile?

I have a generic (OCUBE) case that has the magnet installed in the front cover. Apart from name it looks identical to the UMI cover.
However it does not wake/ make the mobile sleep when the cover is opend or closed.

Can someone verify that the official UMI one DOES make this function work please?

Yep, mine works a treat, the magnet, if looking at an opened cover is about two thirds of the way up the right had edge, approx half inch in.

Your using the official umi branded case?
Did you have to change any settings at all to"activate" the feature at all?

Didn't have to do anything with settings, can only suggest you see if your magnetometer is working, should be an app for it somewhere.
