Hi, so I've done something stupid, and flashed the UMI Super TWRP onto my new UMI MAX, and i think it broke something, my touch screen seems to be way off and there are some artefacts on my screen aswell,

is there anything i can do to recover my phone, i have tried flashing the stock rom and that did'nt work either.

please help me, i didn't think it could damage my phone

Hi,

I've got a MAX with this issue, so I'm working on a solution. Formatting the whole flash chip and reflashing the MAX ROM doesn't help. After flashing thousands of MTK based smartphones even with completely incompatible ROMs I've never seen a such weird case, so it's something new. The touch panel hasn't damaged but has set with a wrong calibration data for an unknown reason.
If you have a USB Type-C OTG adapter, you can operate your phone with an USB mouse. If you can, please tell me the build number of the ROM on your phone if it's in factory state yet.
Thank you.

I'll have to buy an otg adaptor, however,  I flashed the full rom with the one supplied in this forum.
It also appears that there are some bright spots burnt into my
display, does yours have this symptom too?

No, absolutely no such issues with the screen.

Edited by lonix at 2016-9-11 06:58 \n\nok so after phone was switched off for 12 hours, bright spots have gone, so now all I have to do is get my touchscreen calibrated properly.

i have bought a otg cable and can access the menu with the build number is
UMI MAX V1.01_20160819
I also have access to ADB which has root access.

Where is the calibration data stored? so i can check it!
