Black screen

Hi,

I purchased a pre-sale Umi Touch and it has been working fine up until now, when the screen suddenly goes black (backlight still works) at random intervals. A restart sometimes helps, sometimes doesn't. Factory reset did not solve the issue either. Please advise.

Dear user,

To rule out the possibility of an existing software error, I suggest you to flash your phone with SP Flash Tool, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option in the flasher application. That process will completely rewrite the whole software content of your device. - You will lose your user data.

If reflashing your phone doesn't help, than the motherboard connector of the LCD might be needed to be reconnected.

I've now had a phone repair shop open the phone and check all the connections. This did not solve the problem. Guess there's nothing else to do than to send it back to the reseller. : \
