Hello everybody,

Some months ago I bought a perfectly functional Umi Iron. Today it was mostly fully charged. I let it on the table and when I came back I couldn't power my phone up.

I've tried to charge it with several charges and cables (wich I have successfully tested with another USB devices) but simply it doesn't boot up no matter what I do.

Any hints to solve this problem, please?

Thank you in advance.

Dear misosofos,

Maybe your phone is just crashed and haven't powered off. You can forcibly reboot your phone by pressing and keeping pressed the power button for at least 10 seconds.
If that doesn't help, I suggest you to flash the latest ROM on your phone with SP Flash Tool.

I don't think I can flash anything to my phone as the PC doesn't detect it. And I tried to press the button with no success.

Anyways, thank you for your help.

By the way, the led doesn't light up when I connect it to the adapter...

If its USB port itself is not damaged, your phone should be able to be flashed, even if it's completely dead. Try the followings.
1. Open the Windows device manager on your PC and extract the COM and LPT ports line.
2. Attach your phone to USB.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone.
4. If a Preloader VCOM port (or something similar) or a new unknown device appears after a while (after about 10 seconds) in the device manager (just for a few seconds), then you can flash your phone with SP Flash Tool. You might need to try with different USB cables or ports of your PC.

Thanks for your reply bencebacsi.

I just got the Preloader when I removed the battery. If I don't, the phone is not detected.

I'll try with SP Flash Tool and post the results.

Well, I tried to flash my phone. Nevertheless it's not dectected unless I removed the battery.

Could I flash the phone without battery and connect it after that?

As a rare exception, for flashing you have to connect your Iron to USB while pressing the volume up button (or vol-down if I don't remember well). I just forgot to mention it. Without battery the flashing process cannot start.

The reseller is not replying to my e-mails...
I encourage everyone not to buy any product from UMI.
