The stock charger stopeed working after 3 charge cycles and forced to use spare charger. i have 2 chargers lying around with me and both are 2A One of them is Brand new (Nilkin one) and tried one of my friend's Redmi Note 3 2A charger.
However All of them show as "USB charging" and Ampere shows mA never go higher than 480mA. charging process takes 8+ hours and still can't reach 100%
As @bencebacsi mentioned on another thread i don't want to go through asking for a charger from Reseller (Tomtop). It's way easier to buy one myself. Please i would like to know a charger that doesen't show as USB and charge slow
Your issue is caused by the USB cable (shorted pins or wires inside), that's not about the charger adapter. Please try to use another or more other USB cable(s) as well. If that doesn't solve your issue, then the phone's micro USB socket should be checked.
Then your phone should be checked by a skilled repairman. Maybe its micro USB socket has damaged by the dying stock charger. - Overheating by over voltage may melt the solderings on the bottom PCB, causing a short.
