Hi.
I posted many times here about this freaking issue.
My WiFi turns on and off by itself. I can disable it.
@bencebacsi has suggested to many members to tighten the screws at the bottom of the phone, but it changed nothing.
It's not a hardware issue, it's a software issue. Please, correct it for the next FOTA.
And another thing, don't delete this thread please.

Dear gilianmartins,

You are not the only one but possibly not even everybody. ;)
UMI engineers are working on to fix all existing issues.

If your issue were caused by a general software problem, than all devices running the same version would be affected. However, that's not the case. For example I've been testing a UMI Touch for quite a long time already but the wifi always worked perfectly. So you've got a unique issue that cannot be resolved by a software update. If you're sure, the antenna connects well in your phone and don't even a complete reflashing with sp flash tool solve your problem, I suggest you to contact your reseller to replace your phone.

Well, I sent an email to , we'll see if they can replace my phone because it's not the only problem  ...

Your reseller can replace your phone, not UMI itself. You paid your reseller, not UMI, so you should contact the place where you bought your device. They are responsible for your warranty.

Edited by trigger2003 at 2016-5-13 00:04 \n\nHi all,

fwiw, i just had a strange experience with this wifi problem, which can't be anything than a hardware prob (bla bla ...)

I had exactly the same wifi issues, and while playing frustrated with extended wifi settings i entered wifi direct, played around a little, then entered 'cast screen' in the notification center (in my german localization its named "Übertragen"), and did nothing special except playing around, executing a search for devices, such stuff. I'm sorry, that i can't be more specific.

BUT since then, my ordinary wifi connecton on the UMI Touch runs much more stable than before. Some issues remained, sometimes droppers (hanging) and so on, but since then NO reconnects, NO timeouts, wifi is running better than ever on this device, does not compare to the feeble behaviour before.

And, anticipating certain allegations, i'm quite sure this has absolutely nothing to do with my environment, i'm a developer and atm more than 10 other mobile (Android, iOS, Windows Phones) devices are laying around on my desk and working perfectly well.

UPDATE:
The next day the old (faulty) behaviour raised its ugly head again. Droppers all few minutes. But what i've learned from this is that the origin of all this fuzz nearly impossible can be a hardware problem...

Best Regards
Trigger

But someone had an issue and he contacted UMi throught this email and his phone were replaced even if he bought it on Banggood (where I bought mine).
So I hope that I'll get an answer.

I confirm my first tests.  I'be been playing all the morning with my phone with wifi n disabled on the router and I've not had a single drop. With wifi n enabled the connection freezes every 10 sec... Tried it on two different routers. I've never had the problem with any of my phones tablet or computer. I wonder if the problem is linked to the firmware or to the hardware...

Well I am one more to sum in this issue,  besides the 5GHz band which I don't know since I don't have any 5GHz router, my connection is dropping every time and the range is really low...

In my case since I am running some NAS under the router I would not put my whole router without the N  WIFI; if it's the case there should be a way to prevent the Touch wifi to use N, as many wifi cards.

Continue saying, that in my opinion this is a SW issue, and everytime they are more and more people complaining about the same thing.

Thanks!
