Umi Touch Microphone

Hello,

i ordered a umi touch on GekkBuying and i have received it today. Screen and fingerprint work well for me but microphone don't want to work. I went on the factory mode but the menu is in Chinese... I succeded to reset the phone but nothing change. I also made the update. Can you please help me? I'm in France and if i send it back, i should wait at least 3 month to received it again

Dear Pablo,

Your microphone doesn't work due to probably bad soldering or a shoddy component. So the mic must be mended or replaced. That can easily be processed by a skilled repairman, so if you bought your phone directly from China, it might be simpler and much faster to make your phone repaired locally. The microphone can be replaced without voiding the warranty - theoretically not but virtually yes. I also could repair your phone without voiding its warranty but I'm not located in France, sorry. you must find a local repair shop.

look on my answer on my last post, maybe you have the same problem I had, and I resolved it using a simple application free on Plat Store.

You can call the EngineerMode by dialing *#*#3646633#*#*
That doesn't need to install a specific application.
Although these settings work on too quiet microphones, they can't activate an absolutely not working mic since it's hardware defective.

sorry for no reply, i try to log in but i didn't set my security question and nom i can't log in on my original account... But thank you for your advices! My problem isn't a too quiet microphone, it's really a not working microphone (soldering problem). I send a message to Umi's support, they said that i should repair it in a local store or send it back in China. I paid for a functionnal product, so i decided to contact the resseler. GeekBuying said me the same thing, but they can reimburse me partially, 10-25$, so I will try to find a local service to ask the cost.

Dear Pablo,

I hope finally you'll be able to resolve your issue with satisfaction.
You may just simply ignore the security question at login (don't click on the drop-down list) if you haven't set it earlier.

No one of the numbers will help you to find a proper mic for your device. The one that I linked will fit.
