Hi,
I have got two white spots in my screen see pics. Can be very annoying when reading on white background.
They are not visible when the screen is black.
Does anyone else has this? Might there a way to fix this?

The high heating chips are located on the opposite site of the PCB and they radiate their heat in the direction of the back plate cover. The LCD is not affected by them.
These white spots are the results of a manufacturing issue of the LCD. This problem sometimes appears even at some models of the greatest smartphone manufacturers - I've got an HTC One X with yellow spots (from the beginning) but other brands like Samsung or Apple are also affected.
The LCD panel is not repairable, so the only solution is to replace it or the whole phone.
You may decide whether you can live with this issue or request a replacement from your reseller.

So either you let the device be replaced, or you can live with this trouble ;-)

Best Regards

Fréd

I have the same issue with 1 bright white spot in the upper part of the screen. Same location. I presume there are more people out there? Do we all need to go back to our sellers or is Umi offering something here directly?

Ups it looks like burnt screen, I had once this in my Nexus (I think it was the 2nd gen,) and it was caused by excessive hot ,  and the Umi Touch is getting quite hot sometimes

Hi,

It sounds like everybody have the same problem with that UMI Touch.
Looks like a hardware dév. issue.

The most strange thing is that several users have reported the issue in that threat http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q ... yFmF-MvDPDEWQKMvthZ

... but the thread was removed by UMI ...

I do not know what to think about that, but looks like UMI is managing to "hide" that problem.
Best option should be to be refund by the reseller if you can not stand that screen issue.

Edited by laretrama at 2016-4-30 16:18 \n\nHi,

same problem here. Three white dots in the upper part of the screen. I think it's not a defective lcd, it can be caused by heat, I've seen same issue in some reviews.

I agree with Laretana, I think it's because of the heat, more than a manufacture defect... at the moment I dont have any 'white stain' but I can tell than the upper part of the display is getting quite hot often.
