This is the SP Flash Tool release of the
V1.0_20250918 system software
for UMIDIGI G100x

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,
never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI G100x receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

ROM:
>>> UMIDIGI_G100x_5G_V1.0_20250918_1132.pac.7z <<<
Extract the .7z file before use. The scatter file (MT6768_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components.

SPFT:
SP_Flash_Tool_V5.2404.rar

VCOM driver: Windows 10 and 11 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI G100x if the standard method doesn't work.
It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your phone to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and hold the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

You only need this if your phone is broken or you want a clean install. Otherwise, stick to OTA updates.

Thanks for the clarification! That makes sense — it’s always safer to stick with OTA updates unless something goes really wrong. I’ll definitely keep this guide in mind just in case I ever need a clean install.

Yeah, I actually went through this process a few days ago on my UMIDIGI G100x after it got stuck in a bootloop. The SP Flash Tool method worked fine for me, but I’d definitely echo the warning — it’s not something you should try unless you’re comfortable with firmware flashing. One small mistake (like choosing the “Format All + Download” option) can wipe your IMEI or even brick the phone completely.

For anyone planning to try it, make sure you’ve got the right ROM version and a stable USB connection — the MT6768 scatter file included in the package worked perfectly once I used the latest SP Flash Tool (V5.2404). Also, I had to hold the power button for around 8–10 seconds like the post mentions before the red bar showed up. After that, the process went smoothly, and the phone booted up clean on the new build.

If your device still receives FOTA updates, I’d suggest sticking with those unless you’re really stuck or rooted. But if you’re in a bootloop or soft-brick situation, this ROM seems solid — no new bugs so far on my end, and battery life actually feels a bit better.

Thanks for sharing the detailed instructions! This is really useful for anyone who needs to recover or clean-install the UMIDIGI G100x firmware. I especially appreciate the optional method for bricked or bootloop devices that tip could save a lot of frustration. One question though: for users who are new to SP Flash Tool, would you recommend making a full backup of user data before starting, even if they’re using the Firmware Upgrade mode?

Thanks for sharing this firmware package and instructions. SP Flash Tool should only be used by people who understand the risks, since a wrong step can cause system issues or data loss. For most users, it's better to rely on regular FOTA updates unless the phone is bricked or needs a clean restore.

If anyone is facing minor speaker or audio issues after updating, try cleaning and recalibrating sound first before flashing — sometimes it's a simple fix:
