UMI Iron Pro has android lollipop 5.1 o/s, so when i install an app why isn't there an option in the settings/applications manager/downloaded  i.e. properties of the app, to move the app to SD Card i.e. "Move to SD Card"?

I have been wondering the same thing for a while but while searching and playing around with the mobile I have come to realise that the sd card and the internal memory are merged as one, although they show up seperately, so there is no need to transfer your apps to the sd card.

The internal memory can be used as one consistent storage drive so yes, you don't need to move any applications. However, in Android 4.4 and newer systems that's not possible to use the external SD-card to install/move applications there.

Yes, that can happen, so that's better to make a backup before doing a factory data reset.

I meant, with a factory data reset can I delete SD card too?

No, you can't, but you can do it in the Settings/Storage menu.

The user part of the internal memory is called internal SD card. So earlier you had an internal and an external SD card but nowadays the internal memory is not divided to a data partition (where the apps are installed as a default setting) and an internal SD card but the whole thing is one partition. For example, if you had an 8GB phone, that had a 2GB data partition (about 1.5GB for the system) and the remaining 4.5GB storage space made an internal SD card. So, if the 2GB was not enough for the downloaded apps, you had to move them to the internal SD card. Nowadays that's not needed, since outside the system you've got only one partition on the internal memory that can store the apps and user data as well.
