Hello Admins!

Can have an ETA on when our promised fix will arrive? Contacting Umidigi support has yielded no response and it's been radio silence on here since the Security bug and Update thread opened. These are device breaking issues resulting in a phone that should not be sold in its current state. At the very least, a clear update plan should be in place and visible to all users so they can decide whether they want to wait.
None of us want an update right now if its going to make the device worse (as with 0830) but we do demand a clear timeline with a breakdown of what fixes we can expect and when they are going to be available.

We still have:
Unusable security (current workarounds are unacceptable/non functional)
Various camera issues (unstable app, inability to focus, poor bokeh, useless secondary camera)
Weak/unstable WiFi and bluetooth
Heat issues when using 15w wireless charging
(amongst others

It has been 7 days since the last status update from Umidigi hence creating a new thread for all those who have not returned their devices to Gearbest etc

Please comment below to get some attention from the Admins and maybe we'll hear something back. All any other issues you've encountered and I'll update the thread

I see all your issues;

GooglePay support broken
Callers cannot hear me during phone calls
When logging onto additional users, the time does not change.

We should have a good list running to assist the team.

Just curious.  What is the problem with s2 Pro?  The wife and I have it running alright and mine was since Dec 2017.  In fact the wife told me off when I offfered to renew her S2 Pro with Z2 pro.

I am trying the Z2 pro now because I am interested in its wireless charging  The pin and pattern have security flaws but the password route has allowed my z2 pro work normally.  May be I am among the lucky few who got phones with less defect than others.  I have shifted everything from my s2 pro to the Z2 pro.

I also ran a UMI Max before with a working GPS system while others were complaining like hell when the model was released.

I received my phone on Friday, I tried to avoid the whole turning off issue as I rarely power my phone completely off anyway.  I noticed using the Q1 wireless charger from Umidigi did not work with the included case.  So tried without the case and it seemed spotty at best.  It would get very hot when charging via wireless.  It also seems a bit odd that I had to move the phone a bit around on the charger before it would finally showing "Charging".  At one point I had set it down and when I returned later (perhaps 30-45 minutes) the phone was hot but had not actually charged.  I know the wireless charger works as some friends had used it prior.

I see Umidigi is quickly putting out another set of phones.  It seems they are quick to throw out new phones but support is zero, non-existent.  I will be sending my phone back for a full refund.  My Z2 Pro hung while charging (it wouldn't turn the screen back on after I removed it from the charger).  I had to restart the phone which cause the PIN issue but mine seems a bit different.  Even after a full factory reset I can only get so far in the setup as it ask for a PIN!  I mean, a FULL FACTORY RESET, why the hell is it asking for a PIN if I'm setting it up as a new device?  So I'm hosed now with it and have asked Gearbest to start the RMA process so it can be sent back.

I saw the Z2 and the Z2 Pro was announced so waited.  Since, I've seen the One and One Pro and now just recently (besides the variants of the Z2) they announced another series (forget what they are calling it) and yet they have these issues with software to deal with.  Seems they are just out for some quick cash by throwing a bunch of phones on the market with little to no support and they don't even work properly.

Hello Umi. Please don't do flashy adverts when the phones you release are very buggy. No time or information as to when you will fix the bugs on your flagship Z2 product. Z2 was supposed to be a fantastic phone but very disappointed that so many people who paid good price have lot of problems. Maybe we should warn people not to buy your phones as your support is useless. It would be better to pay more and get a phone that works.
we have forums where Umi should be answering to the problems and not hide or too busy planning to release yet another product.  You promise a lot but deliver nothing.

I agree and I'm absolutely with you. Last days i contacted GearBest to explain procedure how to send back phone into warranty terms and receive total refund.

Reply @all... All having the problem of caller not hearing  your voice?... Am going to return the phone and get a exchange...it cost me more because of shipping back and custom charges once again...

and the next problem appears: NFC don't works with Digital-Locks!! When I read my UMIDIGI, I see it have no fix Medium-ID > it is change always the Medium-ID ( see Video ) Normally it have a fix Medium-ID.
Will see tomorrow if the mobile payment is working

My return is sorted with Gearbest the phone is going back tomorrow. I suggest everybody else just do the same, I suspect if a fix does come it will probably just break something else.
