Has anyone actually been successful flashing a new rom?

I have rootjoy downloaded, umi iron device, and i have backed up my device along with flashed the newest OTA updates.
But i am not usre if flashing a rom is such a good idea.. Has anyone been successful in doing this?? If s whar device and what new rom did you flash? Do tell :-]

I think a lot of users have successfully flashed their phones with Rootjoy as well as I. You shouldn't worry about it, just note that, after a Rootjoy update, your phone will be reset to its factory defaults.

I have flashed my Umi Iron. I'm not any advanced user or something like that. It was easy and everything is working just fine. Rootjoy is simple and easy to use. Thanks Umi for making it easy for us.

Tried also last night flashing the rom I thought it was an update but it came the same with rootjoy
Waiting for UIMI ROM, hope someone cares to build for us.

Is there any ROM for UMI IRON PRO? After having flashed the new ROM do we still get OTA updates to next version of android?
