Banking app does not work UMI Iron

i have just purchased an UMI Iron which i was blown away with but the one problem i have with it is that i can not use my NatWest Banking app.
Can anyone help me or will there be an update to sort this problem out in the future?

Your banking app probably refuses to run on rooted devices, and UMI phones are rooted. To find it out, you should note and provide here the error message you get from your app.

Does the app install but not run?
If it does not install, what error message do you receive when you attempt to install/download it?
Does it run but can you not log in?
Can you log in but not use any features?
Have you tried the app on another Android handset?

Hi!,

After checking, there are some apps that appear like not compatible on Iron. This issue will be reported to engineers but  here you can find a workaround to install and work with these apps.

You will need root explorer.

First of all you have to search and download affected apks from internet. For example here I'm sharing PayPal apk, one of the affected apks on Iron

After downloading apk, you have to copy this apk file using root explorer on this folder:  /system/priv-apps

To be able to copy apk on this folder you must mount filesystem in R/W ( you have a button inside root explorer to mount that). After copy you must change permissions. Press on apk file and a menu will appear. Select permissions and then check all options of write, read and execute.

After that, restart your Iron and apk will be workig. You don't have to install apk, directly will be installed after copy and restart

For banking applications work just install by Recovery these gapps: http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/gapps/5.1/gapps-L-4-21-15.zip.

If it does not work after installing, reinstalling. Works if or if

Hi sorry for the late reply,

The App doesn't start up it just goes straight to a message saying 'Unfortunately,NatWest has stopped'.
I previously had a samsung galaxy S3 and it worked fine on that.

Hi,

I do know some apps have issues on some mobiles.
The best people to contact are NatWest. I personally think that this could be related to your handset being rooted. Banks could perceive that as a security threat.

I realise I haven't been of much help but I would appreciate it if you could let me know what NatWest has to say.
