This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

V1.1_20170615 (Android 7.0) system software

for UMIDIGI Z1

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

UMIDIGI Z1 receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI Z1 if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI Z1 to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

No i didn't modify anything - i assumed i did as the screen remained black after the flash - i reflashed it and now the screen is back but not working on touch...

Are you sure? Without editing the scatter file that's impossible to flash a UMi Z ROM on a Z1 Pro due to the different processor. The flasher app will refuse to start the flashing process. Did you edit the scatter file?

I has buy an UMIDIGI Z1 pro and the question is: "This firmware is for the vesion Z1 and Z1 pro or only for Z1?"

I understand that are equals to level of hardware but is best and safer to ask.

Hi,
This ROM is for Z1 only. The Pro is built with OLED screen, so the software of the two models are not compatible.
As you can see, there's a separate section for Z1 Pro ROMs but it's currently empty. The first ROM version for Z1 Pro will be provided later.

Custom recoveries are created by users, not by the manufacturer, so maybe tomorrow, maybe never, we can't know it in advance. I'm sorry.

I did flash it - its only getting worse !! when i do a video call on whatsapp celluar data is gone - waze is still not working - android webview errors, did a clean install wiped cache etc ..when are you fixing this how can you release "updates" like this without proper testing ..omg..

I've already reported the Waze bug since only UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro are affected, no problem with any other UMIDIGI smartphones. The developers will check it and fix it if that's possible on their side.
I cannot confirm your other issues. Can you make Whatsapp video calls on mobile network using the same SIM card but in different smartphones? Some carriers block the video/audio stream IPs of the well-known chatting apps.
In Android Nougat you have to install the Google Chrome browser to get a working Android System WebView. Do you have installed Chrome?

Dear administrator, I per accident flashed a rom for the Umidigi Z and flashed it back to z1 pro only my touchscreen is not working anymore (also not in safemode) i have formatted the flash with smart phone flash tool and re-imaged all 3 roms but the screen doesnt respond on touch what do i do?
