As suggested by an Admin, here is a new Topic.

Some Users encountered a Problem with the Android 7 Update, because after said update serveral people can´t use their mobile network after being connected to a Wifi.
To make the mobile data work again, it is necessary to restart the phone without wifi connection turned on.

This affects a handful of users, including me, coming from Germany with T-Mobile, or telekom.de as it is called in Germany, and there seems to be no solution for this Bug so far.

If you encounter the same problem, please submit it here, so the Admins can see how many customers are affected. No Off-Topic questions here please.

@MarcinP,
This is how you make customers angry. You are not able to say that your company made a mistake!!. Ypu habe been informed by many users that there is a Problem switching to mobil network after leaving WiFi zone. Just to say you don't have this Problem didn't help. We users did clean flash and it doesn't help to say  this again and again. No there is nothing User can do!! Do your JOB and give us a usable Firmware update.

What type of solution you want for problem which is not existing on our testing devices?
Only wha ...

Ok, it´s easy like that. All the Users having issues are just to stupid to work around that problem. Why didn´t i think about that earlier? Their testing devices don´t have the problem. Well then these issues are none existant for all. Hah. I wish all the worlds problems would be as easy to handle like this!
On a more serious base:
- A lot of Umi Z users report for the same problem. Do you really think they are all dreaming this? Just because your testing devices work?

And in answer to your "just flash the ROM again" solution my very own experience:
-> did the OTA update
-> phone wouldn´t switch to mobile data after being connected to WiFi
-> flashed latest ROM using SPFT
-> phone still does not what it should do
-> flashed latest ROM again just in case...
-> phone still does not what it should do
-> flashed back to Marshmallow cause I was tired of rebooting the device to get mobile connection

How often do you expect me to flash the ROM again? After how many times will it work? Oh, i forgot. These issues don´t exist.

Hi,
I have exactly the same issue. Is there any update from UMI? This starts to be unacceptable.
Thanks,
FS

Sorry but are you truly think we are all not able to use a phone. This is my third Umi phone. Done everything you mentioned. Againno Problem with android 6.
Umi did something wrong. Everyone can make a fault, but it is not O. K. to say nothings wrong.
If something is wrong it isn't right if you say so. As you can see we are a lot of people, especially fom Germany and Europe with this Problem.
If Umi is  not able to fix this BUG O. K., say the truth.
If ypu don't care about us customers O. K.. There are a lot of companies that wait for new customers.
Sorry but I am really angry now. I use Android for several years and i know what i say.

I have mentioned this already on another place, try this: Stop manually the System-App "SimProcessor ...

I also tried this, didn´t change anything. Did you restart the phone after ending the process?

Hello,

i have upgraded to Android 7.1.1 last week end by the official OTA Update

version = UMIDIGI Z V7.01_20170601_20170601-0845
network provider = SFR (France)

- the issue is similar : i have no mobile data network after switching it off and then on ,
- switch to flight mode doesn't work
- i have to reboot my phone to make mobile data connection work again

it's a very annoying bug, i hope UMI developers will fix it quickly
Can anyone give me method or link to downgrade version to an official Android 6 Marshmallow version please ?

thank you

Hello,

To downgrade to Marshmallow, you need to download the files from the ROM section and flash using SPFT.

While there are many people from Germany having this problem, I think there are also people from France sharing the same pain.

I have the problem and I live in France (network : RED SFR).

To downgrade to Marshmallow, you need to download the files from the ROM section and flash using S ...

OK, you confirm  i can't downgrade from 7.1.1 to 6 using an OTA Local File after downloading ZIP file to SD Card / internal storage ?
the only method to go back to Android Marshmallow is using the flashtool + SPFT ROM ???

wich SPFT ROM version & date do you recommand to use to retreive a full functionally phone ?
V3.01 ? V3.02 ?

i have downloaded UMIDIGI_Z.V3.02_20170317_update.zip for local update but file size seem suspcious : only 40 MB ?
what approx. file size of FULL ROM ? 400 MB ?

Edited by folhelho at 2017-6-12 20:53 \n\nThe mobile network (4G or 3G) from my umi z has stopped working since the update for Android 7. Now only wi-fi works. I can not make calls.
I'm from Portugal and my mobile network provider is NOS.
This problem is terrible for UMI image (probably my first and last experience with UMI products). I pay for a smartphone that doesn't work.(note that i made a upgrade for android 7 directly in the smartphone, not via flash...)
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
