Please can anyone send me an email address for UMI support as nobody has responded to my previous threads aboout having stripes on my screen. I am convinced there is a software issue and the stripes are less visible when changing the contrast and display settings. Surely UMI have a support team for issues like this!?

Anyone? I really find the support we get from UMI rather bad.

When not in such a dark screen it looks okay now as you can't see the stripes as much but it still is broken, I just changed the settings so it annoys me less

Please perform factory reset. If doesn't help then is hardware issue.
Maybe you dropped phone somewhere etc. Also could be screen connector loose or LCD fault.
You can contact seller.
Or you can open phone to check all connectors etc but this will void warranty.

This happened when I turned the phone back on in the morning, I always turn it off at nights and when I turned it back on, I saw this. So it isn't connected to a fall.

I have tried to do the factory reset but I got chinese symbols on the "setup screen" (you know the blue writing on black) and that scared me!
A. I don't know which option to choose from
B. If that screen is in Chinese, surely that will reset the whole phone to Chinese!?

You can do factory reset from system settings - backup and reset - factory data reset.
Blue Chinese writing on black screen is factory or recovery mode.
When you perform factory reset you will wipe all user data but phone will restore to English language exactly the same as you got phone.
