Yes, that's the same thing. Maybe the erasing of the data partition doesn't get processed correctly for some reason. Unfortunately I haven't got an Iron to find a special solution for you, so I just can suggest to do a full flash upgrade with SP Flash Tool. You can find the 1.5 version in the ROM section.

Yeah I can try tht but I expect exactly the same thing happening, why the hell there is no skip button in welcome app - what if I dont want to sign in or I dont have google account

Hopefully after sp flashing you'll see that skip button. Your issue seems to be a unique or at least a sporadic one. On the other hand, you need a google account at least for to use the Google Play Store, so you should create one and/or login.

I can't flash 1.5 now because adb popup is not showing, I only get adb was denied - I'm getting really inpatient with this

Read the instructions about SPFT. You don't need adb connection for that. You have to connect your phone to USB while it's powered off.

yeah SPFT sounds great but I'm too afraid I will damage my phone and I have no idea what scatter file is or where to find it

The scatter file is inside the folder of the firmware files, you don't have to find it separately. For your task, that's enough to check the data partition (the last one in the list) only. Flashing that file will virtually format the data partition and you risk nothing. Just one important thing: Never format your phone with SPFT.

You see and you lost me again, where are finrmware files?

What list, where?
If you say i shouldnt use SPFT to format then what are you talking about?
If you are talking about recovery mode and formating data partition then that dioes not work

Ok so I cant actually flash anything anymore using RootJoy because you need to enable root using supersu app on your phone - I cant do that.

So my only hope is to use SPFT but when I load scatter file from 1.5 ROM it throws error and 1.6 ROM does not have any scatter file.



Can anyone tell me how to flash different recovery to my UMI IRON so that I can perform proper factory reset?

I found a solution, I can fastboot into TWRP using adb

The problem is I cant find USB driver for UMI Iron, the device is not recognized when switched off, or when it is in fastboot mode.

Anyone have the link to usb driver?
