UMi shows Plus' battery efficiency and charging time As we know from earlier news, UMi Plus uses a strong battery with high-density cells manufactured by Sony. Today we published a few details about some even more real-life usage tests. To do so, we compared our device with the well-known Meizu M3 Note in the tests; not because we wanted to show that, it’s better but to show what level of optimization of the software has been reached by testing it together with a well-balanced and acclaimed smartphone. Having the same battery capacity doesn’t mean to produce the same results. Even when the hardware is very similar, like in the case of the UMi Plus and the Meizu M3 Note, it’s possible to have differences due to the different processes of software development and optimization. As we said, UMi took the Meizu M3 Note and performed a battery test between that one and the brand new UMi Plus. Here we can see the test performed (same brightness and no energy saving option enabled) and how much the battery level changed in both devices. Meizu M3 Note(4100mAh) - 3D Gaming: 30 mins, lost 12% - Video playing: 30 mins, lost 8% - Chinese Facebook ( Weibo): 30 mins, lost 6 % - Charging time: From 0%-100% in 3h 02 mins - Daily regular App use: 5 hours, about 58% energy consumption UMi Plus (4000mAh) - 3D Gaming: 30 mins, lost 8% - Video paying: 30 mins, lost 3% - Chinese Facebook ( Weibo): 30 mins, lost 4 % - Charging time: From 0%-100% in 2h 36 mins - Daily regular App use: 5 hours, about 55% energy consumption From this test, we can see how the UMi Plus managed to obtain very good results also compared with a well optimized phone, thanks to a well-polished and lightweight Android software. The UMi Plus doesn't only performs so good at power management but it also charges faster, allowing to save half an hour at a full charge.
