UMi Super & UMi MAX massive OTA updates released! Brand new camera app installed!
UMi is on fire! The company's just released the UMi Plus and announced the UMi Plus Extreme a few days ago but we didn’t forget about our current products. This week's news is that, UMi pushed out two OTA updates for UMi Super and UMi Max, and from their size (almost 300MB) and the changelogs you can guess, they're major ones! Let’s see what the changelogs report: UMi Super V3.02_20160923 firmware - New, advanced stock camera app with Pro mode - Improved camera performance - New touch screen driver - Improved fingerprint sensor performance - Updated GMS (Google) apps - Other minor bug fixes UMi Max V1.01_20160923 firmware - New, advanced stock camera app with Pro mode - Improved camera performance - New touch screen driver - Improved fingerprint sensor performance - Other minor bug fixes It appears that, UMi has worked hard to improve the two products, working especially on camera, touchscreen and the fingerprint sensor. In particular, camera app has been totally revolutionized, the old MediaTek stock cam has been replaced by an up-to-date and feature-packed camera app, which also features the new manual controls implemented in the freshly released UMi Plus. This new manual mode is called “Pro-Photo”, you can adjust manually most parameters manually to obtain customized shoots, giving way more flexibility in every situation compared to the automatic mode. It’s possible to manually adjust photo sensitivity (iso), the Exposure Value (ev), Saturation, Contrast, Brightness, the focal point and the white balance, some really good news for photography hobbyists! Don’t forget that, UMi Super, UMi Max and the UMi Plus will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat in December, so more optimizations and new functions are coming!
