Edited by tothemax at 2015-9-29 04:12 \n\nHmm .the few reviews I have seen have been very complimentary about the camera , in fact I think one said it's the same as OPO's . in fact a lot of the specs are the same as OPO ,I think that is the (unspoken )marketing angle . And the build quality is supposedly fantastic .It's 32 bit (obsolete? Superseded maybe ) but it has 5.0, seemingly a matter if life or death for a lot on here and Facebook . But it's OK because we have 64 bit emax with ahem ...obsolete 32 bit os. And customer support ?! Are you serious ? Which company's forum are you on ,remind me again ! ; )
Anyway ,I don't intend swapping my emax .I actually quite like it ,and I couldn't match it for what I paid in the flash sale - dirtyjeans' would be good for one of my children !

I took a look on some test photos captured in various conditions, didn't read reviews about that. The Snapdragon 801 was a leader SoC but now it's just a middle range one without the newest technologies inside. So, that's obsolete but you may use other synonyms of course. The MT6752 is originally intended to be a competitor in the middle range. The much smaller battery is another disadvantage of InFocus M810. UMI at least has its own website with this forum and the available firmwares. Where is the InFocus forum? So, if you mentioned the Xiaomi Redme Note 2 or even lenovo K3 Note as competitors, that would be okay but not these Indian stuffs.

It was merely an example of something akin to OPO within this price range. But I guess if you had the free choice between emax and OPO you would choose emax?
Tell me what use of the new techology has emax made so far in the absence of lollipop ? Is it as obsolete or more obsolete than the infocus because of missing lollipop?
By your definition 6752 is already obsolete because there is 6753 .
Smaller battery ,sure - but seemingly well-optimised.
Don't know if there is a forum or not,not really fussed one way or the other , but from what I have seen , the one on xda looks more vibrant than the one for emax.
As for Indian ,I have read variously that infocus is American, and its phones are made in the same factory as iphones. Of course I stand to be corrected on these things ,just reporting what I have read.
For what it's worth I have no axe to grind in favour of infocus or against - I don't approve of some of the stunts umi has pulled (and not just with emax), so I am pretty cynical about it ,same as I am with mlais from experience . And I will take it as a given .now ,that in general Chinese manufacturers/suppliers will engage in nefarious practices a lot of the time .
I thought this is a forum ,in that discussion would be welcomed/engaged/embraced - at least I didn't just comment 'umi is s**t' as many do .But it seems if one isn't for umi ,one is against, and the defences come up . So it feels like a forum in name only -maybe if the devices delivered as promised it could get somewhere .

@tothemax I totally agree your post. You've done the (in)focus of what a forum generally should be. To be accurate, we need to be informed before say that's good or that's ba d. Most of of us here speak to vent problems with own Umi phone. Maybe my friend Bence is not aware of how much declare about Infocus: If you follow tech news you may have heard of Foxconn, if you haven’t then you have certainly heard of some of the products it manufactures: iPad, iPhone, Kindle, PlayStation, Xbox and so on! The keyword here is manufacture. Foxconn is a Taiwanese contract manufacturer that assembles products for the likes of Apple, Blackberry and Microsoft. Nokia also recently revealed that it will be releasing a new tablet. But it won’t be made by Nokia, instead the industrial design, the brand, and the IP will be licensed to Foxconn on a royalty basis... Infocus smartphonesthese aren’t iPhone clones or anything like that. What Foxconn is doing is using its vast manufacturing skill to make its own brand of smartphone and sell it as cheap as it can, primarily to the Asian market. Foxconn produces at least 10 InFocus devices among which, precisely M810t

The company founded in the USA but the mobile phone division is located in India, managed by Foxconn, a Chinese company. I found the only official website for InFocus mobile phones in India. InFocus Inida
The 6753 is a variant of 6752 with lower clock speed and a weaker GPU. Just do compare the test results.
OPPO is seriously over priced, so that never was an option for me. I bought an HTC One X when that was the world's best performance smart phone (in April 2012) but I couldn't see the miracle.
The MT6752 is better in multi thread processing, so especially when browsing multiple webpages, you'll get definitely better performance even without a 64-bit system. Lollipop will add about 15-20% more overall performance.
I wouldn't speak about Chinese manufacturers generally, I don't like stereotypes. I'm not a representative of UMI and hope, debating is not a bad thing, that doesn't means to be against anything.
P.s.: I just got known the brand InFocus today and I wouldn't take more time on researching about they activity. I hope you don't mind. Nice to meet an able-to-debate guy here anyway.

UMI team was out of work due to the Chinese mid autumn festival. Recent news says that, the 5.0 deve ...

Why has Umi not made an official announcement?  It's ok for them to pass on news via mods here but then they could be telling you anything.  There is still no real proof they are actually doing anything.
