"with exception of the display resolution"
So, it won't work, of course.

the display resolution is not important in a port, I have personally made many ported to MT6582, to change the resolution just change the dpi in build.prop

Well, when porting, you have to merge the ramdisk of the porting ROM with the kernel of the base ROM. However, that's not possible to merge the elements of a KitKat ROM with a lollipop one. Do you know what 'dpi' means?

That's a TCL M2M ROM, not something that's created for the eMAX.
Check this post. That would be even easier to place the camera driver into the system as a module than using a completely incompatible (Alcatel) ROM as a base. With the proper camera driver this TCL M2M ROM would be complete.

what you are saying has nothing to do. the problem is finding a modem working with our emax for lollipop, for the cam just insert the drivers in the kernel. The cam is probably the same as the TCL. The dpi has nothing to do in a port.

Sorry but I'm off now. You're new to here and would have a lot of things to read before write. At least you should get through the post that I linked recently. I've already solved the modem problem but not the camera. Please try to understand, you can't port a lollipop ROM into a KitKat system (so you can't keep the original kernel with the proper divers), you can't decompile the kernel to replace the drivers and the TCL M2M is built with a different camera module. Especially that causes our remaining problem. And of course, the kernel has to contain the proper LCD driver, you can't solve that just by adjusting  the dpi settings.

On soc mt6582 all lollipop ROM were brought right on kitkat kernel, so do not think it's impossible;)
In any case I have already read all about the device, I think we should work together to bring a lollipop rom working on the device, and not feel superior to others.
Between now and tomorrow I will work on the kernel to check the missing drivers

The MT6582 is a 32-bit SoC, so it will use only 32-bit resources even under lollipop. The MT6752 SoC is a 64-bit hardware, so it uses still 32-bit resources under KitKat (since that's a 32-bit OS) but 64-bit with lollipop. Do you believe that already, a lollipop ROM cannot be ported using a KitKat kernel? Can you install a 32-bit driver under 64-bit Windows? The same issue here. So if you want to do something reasonable, try to create a driver module for the camera, that can be placed in the system/lib/modules folder. I'm not familiar with that job.

Umi emax has a Sony IMX135 sensor while the TCL M2M has a Sony IMX214 sensor, you know a device that has our own camera and lollipop?
