Hi. I updated my Max a week ago. The minor software bugs are gone, but the slow charging and the battery draining are still remain. I think this two are the bigest issue with the phone. The first cause of my decision was the huge battery when i chosen this device and now im so disappointed, becouse in this 5 mint while i am this writing this post the battery lost 5%. The recharge is painfuly slow.
Message to the engineers: Swap the two things. Web want slow battery drain and fast recharge.

Hi. I absolutely agree with feketeimre. With 6.0 I got easily two days of use with my Max, sometimes even three days. Now with 7.0 I get one day. If I use the phone very little, I may get two days, but at the end of day two the battery level is very low. And if I start charging with less than 20% battery level, the charging takes so long that the phone will not be fully charged in the morning when I wake up. So in practice I have to charge the phone daily. This would be OK for a phone with a small or average size battery, but really, a phone with a 4000 mAh battery should do better than this.

A question to administrator: are these issues with battery drain and slow charging recognized and admitted problems by developers, and are they working on solving them in a future update? If not, then going back to 6.0 seems to be the only solution.

Thanks.

Fast charge is unstable. I charged 3 times: 1st time is slow, taking 4 hours to full charge with Alcatel Flash Plus 2 PE charger. The 2nd time when my phone is under 20%, it's only take 1 hour to full. And then the 3rd time. It's slow like the 1st time so I decided to back to 6.0.

I'm very regret buying this phone and gearbest dont have a policy to return this s..t.

This is the worst 4000Mah battery phone ever. Remember when I used Xiaomi Redmi 3, It can last over 6 hrs on screen time to me. Haizz

They don't acknowledge the issues. They say it doesn't drain fast and that we all have apps that use too much battery. And I think it's better to leave it like that. Maybe some developers will build custom ROMs for this phone and we'll have diversity. Frankly, I'm over it. The software team can't handle it and it's understandable since they released so many phones. They can't keep up with this pace. Anyway, I started charging everyday, in the evening, because I can't afford losing power during the day. With 6.0 I never had to worry about it. Two days of power guaranteed. I think I will return to 6.0 if these issues don't get fixed and stick to searching other ROMs.

Dear Sirs.
I'm from Brazil and I have the same problem, or more serious, than yours. Simply the device can not stay connected and when I put the SMS chip the device stays in loop, restarting constantly ... I can not use it ... everything happened after this last update of android 7.0.
So I also want to go back to android 6.0. I would like to know if anyone of you has knowledge about this procedure and if you just do what this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMLGb2fXtC4 (sorry for being in Portuguese, but you can see the Steps).
Thank you for your help

Yeah, that's pretty much it. But I'd use Firmware upgrade, since you're changing ROMs. At least this is what I've done the last time I returned to 6.0.

It's a very awkward thing about charging. This morning, with battery at 15% it reached at 71% in 2 hours. Another time it took twice the time to reach such level. I don't understand why it's so different every time, since the conditions are similar.

Edited by damyanof at 2017-4-28 01:16 \n\nMy battery is charging fairly quickly with ordinary Sony charger (1.6A) - 2-3 hours max. Still there is not very pleasant battery drain. Sometimes its fairly ok, sometimes the phone barely lasts a day. Fingerprint sensor is very picky and wakes the devices sometimes, so i had to turn it off.

Overall I am happy, however bit disappointed with the headset, I hope everything is fixed with next updates.

I tried a solution to the slow recharge problem and seems it works.
All you need is to wipe Cache partition.
First of all, there is only temporary files which are remaining of an update.
Here are the steps:
1. Turn off the phone
2. Enter to the recovery
Hold down the Volume up and Power button up to 5 seconds. When u see the UMI logo, u can release them.
If u get a "No command" message (i got), u can press again the two buttons (Volume up + Power) and release about 2-5 times.
3. If u are in the recover menu, choose the "Wipe Cache partition" (Down with volume down, activate with Power button)
It will be a few seconds only.
4. Choose "Reboot system now" from menu.

After this procedure my phone recharges itself from 60% to 100% in 40 minutes.

I hope it will solve your problem too.
