This is the SP Flash Tool + OTA release of the

V7.01_20170413 Android 7.0 firmware

for UMI Super

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

UMI Super receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

WARNING!

Always flash this ROM as 'Firmware Upgrade', not 'Download Only' if you are upgrading an Android 6.0 system!

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMI Super if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop.

1. Connect your UMI Super to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

OTA (recovery) update

Manual (local) OTA update method instructions

• Copy the downloaded .zip file to either the internal memory or the SD card of your phone
• Go to Settings --> About phone --> Wireless update
• Tap the 3-dot menu button at the top right corner and select Local updates
• Brows for the ...update.zip file and select it
• Tap Install now, comfirm the process with OK and wait until the process will be finished

Optional method (in case if the manual OTA update gets stuck): Install from recovery

You need a microSD card (with at least 4GB capacity) installed in your phone!

• Copy the ...update.zip file to your SD card
• Press and hold the volume-up and power buttons together until your phone restarts. It needs about 10 seconds or a little bit less if your phone was already powered off.
• When your phone is restarted, immediately release the power button but still hold the vol-up button until you see a lying android figure with an exclamation mark in red triangle on its tummy.
• Press and hold the power and vol-up buttons (in this order) together, then release them to call the recovery menu. Now you can move with the volume buttons and select an item with the power button.
• Move to ‘Apply update from SD card’ and select it.
• On the next screen brows for the update file and select it. The updating process will start and needs a few minutes to be finished.
• After a succcessful installation you can read the ''Install from sdcard complete'' message and the recovery menu is available again.
• Select 'Reboot system now'. Alternatively you can perform a factory data reset here by choosing 'Wipe data/factory reset'
  

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

On p9000 even custom kernel for 6.0 and 7.0...same helio p10
So it's not mediatek but umidigi not releasing sources...

After the latest Update my Super works fine for me.
GPS is good, normal battery drain, WLAN in 5Ghz is good, bluetooth connects to my car audio.

BTW. what is the problem with dialing app?
Perhaps i didn`t notice the Problem, but for me it Looks fine...

UMIDIGI please release the kernel source code so the comunity of rom developers (such as xda) can work, make and improve some of the custom roms that are out there!!
         Its a shame that UMIDIGI hasn´t been able to solve the fast charging issue.My toughs its that you gonna "disregard" this device after android N, so why not let other peolple continue on rom developing for this (I believe once was a great phone) device.

To get the fast charge working stable on Nougat is something I've been scratching my head over creating the first custom rom for the Umi Super. Been running my own built for the past 3 days and to get the voltage during charing to settle for the pump + charger will take me longer than expected. On the plus side is that ive managed to solve the BT battery drain for smart watch and a very good battery life. I will upload a beta version in a few days time after some more tweaking with this latest update as template.

There is no time to update, it has to invent new and new models. Sold no one anymore.

you have the right driver all you need is when you plug the cable you go to device manager and see if your device is installed or it is with a triangle sign on it if so uninstall it and select delete driver the restart your system, when your system is up install the driver then plug the cable and the phone if it says unknown device the cable is not seated well or its bad change it if not go to device manager and check, it will be installed. after that off your phone and do your flash. it may come up with installing device allow it after installing it and it do not start flashing unplug it and plug again it will start good luck.

i was asking another question earlier on and got an anser on russian! (or was it greek?arabic?)

the bad english in this forum makes it difficult to get a realistic idea about what's going on.

anyway: fast charging is not fixed, on the other hand it is the only bug remaining which should mean every focus now on fixing it. i am still optimistic we will see a full working rom even if it takes another 2 months. better late than never.

Hello forum members, i think i have good news
i did a exepriment by flashing the downloaded ota`s on a rooted fully installed android 6 including all my apps
i flashed  the 3 zip files with FLASHFIRE on my fully installed rooted android 6 and android 7 is working now prerfectly, camera is better then before
fingerprintscanner works  AND BY SURPRIZE my 12 volt fastcharging is also working ok!a few times i discovered the charging voltage is rising to 12.1 volts and is a little to high
The only thing that has to be solved by next android 7 update for fastcharging is that the voltrage will not exeed the 12 volts anymore
I think things the problems that some are exeriancing is not the umidigi android 7 rom but i think that something is going wrong withing the flashing procedure itself  
I think UmiDigi has to look into the flashing procedure, i think defenatly some bugs are caused by a bug in the flashing procedure,.
I flashed on a rooted android 6 the 3 android 7 updates with FlashFire and some bugs i had on my phone when i flashed it with sp flashtool before are gone  
My system is working fine and have no problem what so ever.
the ony 2 things i did not test is bluetooth and GPS.so i can not makje some comment on that
i would appreciate if the option of unlocking the phone without to have to press ok afther filling out the pin code
To my surpize even the HD tv app of xs4all a dutch internet and tv provider that was not usable in android 6 because my phone was rooted is working now while is rooted now
My conclusion by flashing the ota`s with FlashFire removes something by the ota installs the normally blocked programs that does not work with root normally
are working now.Maybe it will also work with banking pay apps  ?? i thing you will have the apps alreddy have te installed to make thiis work
On rooted android 7 clean install the tv app did not work at all .
My conclusion is flashing the ota`s on a fully installed android 6 with FlashFire had some benefits, my phone is working perfecty \
If you have  some problems mybe its woth the try, i aslo directly backed up my android 7 system wiith FlashFire and TWRP and both made a backup without problems.
Ity is nice to now that for the next coming update i will have only have to flash the next android 7 firmware ota zip with flashfire,a piece of cake

All works fine and stable... Battery still 50% with over 3 hours screen on time. Will see tomorrow how it charges... Any recommendations how to charge? Can i use original charger?

Power management is good for 6 hours screen on time... Watching videos in full hd... And 24hour standby.. Let's see how it's charging..
