I'm sorry to ask you to be the administrator of this forum, because the UMI SUPER administrator forum is out of the question.

Hi,
I can also confirm that the battery drains faster on 7.0 compared to 6.0. Right after the update the drain was really bad, but factory reset seems to have helped quite a lot. But still, with 6.0 I got easily two days of my normal use, now I get easily one day but two days is a real challenge.

I have my screen brightnes set to 6% manual. I have turned off bluetooth and and location, and also bluetooth and wifi scanning. I have scheduled the phone to switch to Sleep profile for 6 hours every night. I have a very modest amount of apps installed and I don't use any widgets. I don't know what more I can do extend battery life.

If the only answer to increased battery drain is "something must use the CPU in the background", I really don't know what it could be and how to chase it. In the battery menu the screen is always on top of the list with a big percentage (44% at the moment), but nothing under that ever shows any extreme numbers.

Changelog MAX V7.01_20170329 Android 7.0 ROM - SPFT + OTA release :
Dialer and power saving mode bug when your phone is set to Russian language fixed

I updated through OTA with
MAX V1.01_20161226 ROM (everything works perfectly) to the version
MAX V7.01_20170303 Android 7.0 ROM - OTA release and at once to
MAX V7.01_20170329 Android 7.0 ROM - OTA release. The mistake remained.

Me after update to Android 7.0 is fine, especially fast charge works like a charm, only take 1h30m to full charge with Alcatel Flash Plus 2 which support PE fast charge. Except the fingerprint sensor is to sensitive as s.o said before. Plz fix ASAP

Hi,
The OTA update packages contain only updated elements, not the whole system software, so yes, first you can install only the older update, then after rebooting your phone, you can download and install the latest one.

Edited by Davood at 2017-4-19 12:02 \n\nHi,

first of all, I'm really sorry for asking my question in this thread. Android 7.0 on UMI SUPER has a big problem with battery drain and quick charging. Can I install Android 7 of UMI MAX on my SUPER? Their SoC, Ram, ROM, battery, display, camera are the same except quick charge that it doesn't matter.

Thank you ,

Hi,
What does a big problem with battery drain mean at you? I get about 4 days standby time on 4G network and with all time working WiFi.
Currently the quick charging works at 12V/0.75A (checked many times), that's slower by 25% than with Android 6.0 (12V/1A) but at least the slightly slower charging enhances the life time of the battery.
You can flash a MAX ROM on the Super if you keep the original (Super) pre-loader but it wouldn't make sense.
Test your phone with a clean installation. Even your battery can be defective.
