Just another new device.
Umidigi is spamming the market with new devices, but does not provide any support for those already launched.
At least this new one gets 7.0 out of the box.

If you look into the ROM section, you can see more or less but overall a lot of updates for each model. What does support mean at you if all of that is nothing for you? Android version upgrades always start at MediaTek, so if they don't do their job, UMi cannot what to do about it.

Rebranding I thought Umidigi would have removed their old mindset of spamming the market. Releasing this smartphone makes no sense what so ever, especially when there are devices which have not received an upgraded Android version as promised, I do understand the whole Mediatek scenario and can only take your word for it however you can not use this as an excuse for long, as suggested by chance, if they slow Umidigi down from progressing at the speed they desire why not push MT to hurry up or use an alternative, why has Umidigi given another the opportunity to cripple or dictate the progression of the company?
Looking at the specs of the C Note I will still prefer to buy Z Pro the only real selling point is that it has Android 7 which can only justify why Umidigi has made this model yet if you have the required team to focus on making a new a smartphone which will require updates surely that same team is capable of providing previous devices with adequate support, if not, then why has Umidigi taken on that addittional pressure, sad to say but it very much seems it is about increasing income or Umidigi are looking at the market and the developments of Android and have panicked, either way the focus seems to be in the wrong place.
Tbh Ben, quality over quantity, it is not about the amount of updates, it is about solving the issues which is the purpose of releasing the updates, surely I can speak for the majority if I say users do not care if only 2 updates are released as long as the smartphone becomes stable and works how it should, users will be satisfied and imo that is what Umidigi should be aiming to do before even considering bringing out a new device and there is a really good reason, for example
Being an owner of the Plus E, I want the Z Pro however now that the C Note will be available soon, I am lead to believe that a new and hopefully higher spec, better design smartphone than the Z Pro will be released within another 2-3 months therefore instead of purchasing the Z Pro I will wait that little bit longer, in the meantime I am now focussing on the developments of the Z Pro but due to the lack of quality support, there are many issues being brought up which now makes me reluctant to purchase and with this observation I will also want to see the developments of the C Note once released and it is possible the same pattern may occur (hopefully not because many want to see Umidigi do well, Umidigi improves = Happy Customers, it is only logical) if the same pattern does occur I definetely will be waiting for the new device after the C Note, now because of the doubts which Umidigi has inflicted upon their potential customers, due to the market being so vast as a customer I have many options at my disposal so in the end I may take my money and interests to another brand and if they manage to provide what Umidigi are not capable of providing then it will only make sense to stay and as time goes on, confidence with them will grow. I am talking from the perspective of being a previous owner of 2 Umi devices however those who will be new to Umidigi will eventually go down the same route or maybe not even have the patience and understanding to even consider buying a second Umidigi smartphone.
With all due respect, things need to change, the same errors can not be made over and over again

You mention Xiaomi, while they release much more (really a lot) models than UMi and they also release a lot of models (even more) with MediaTek processors. And if we're speaking about Snapdragon, how many Snapdragon 820 (released in March, 2016) based smartphones do you know with Android 7.x system available and how many ones without it?
No one with at least a minimum of a common sense shouldn't push you toward Android 7.x
What most owners of at least UMI Z model want from you is a phone that is bug free, with a longer batterry life, better pictures and more functional core apps.
Who cares about a top of the line processors? Some freaks which are the minority in a community.
