Sometimes is good to perform factory reset after OTA update as you can delete all errors /bugs from system.

Hello,

I had the same problems with battery after update, it dropped from 20-30% to 15-5%, and shutdown soon after. You can fix this by recalibrating the battery.

Solution 1, if you are not rooted and dont have a custom (twrp) recovery:
Factory reset the phone

Solution 2, if you are not rooted but have twrp installed:
Boot into twrp and wipe cache and dalvik cache. This should also delete battery data so that your phone can monitor your battery cycle with more precision.

Solution 3, if you are rooted:
Use the app "battery calibration" by NeMa (available in play store). Charge your phone to 100% and then tap "calibrate", and unplug your phone from the charger.
It is good to do this after every update, or after you flash a new ROM, to avoid battery inaccuracy.

Whatever solution you use, it is good to charge your phone to 100% and then let it discharge until it shuts down, for best battery performance.
Hope it helps, good luck.

I am not responsible for any loss of data or bricked devices. Alwys make a backup before attempting any of these methods.

Only if your phone is not rooted and the current version on it has never been rooted.

Edited by chance at 2017-3-13 15:41 \n\nDo the master reset from recovery and apply update via recovery mode. Do not run Android. It might help you. Even you can run safe mode from Android. Tap and hold Switch off menu. My 7th Android phone since I started using Android phones and to be honest to you the Best phone tuned with pure Android. Installed ASUS Launcher and looks, works great.
