Downloaded OTA from cuurent threa ...

Flashing 20160923 with SPFT solved the screen problem.
After that I flashed 20170123 with SPFT and now I have working device again.

Question remains, how to install TWRP and how to ROOT?

Make sure you have activated developer mode before doing any of this. Do that to enter about your phone. now tap several time on build number and developer mode will be activated. Go to your settings and you will find Developer mode at the bottom. Activate the toggle, make sure OEM unlocking is ticked and also USB debuging.

Unzip the recovery.img in this file: https://forum.xda-developers.com ... 887803&d=1474986279 and flash it with SPFT (only tick recovery and make sure that you are in the 20170123 Scatter text, you need to browse the recovery.img file to where you put it on your computer.)

Now when you successfully have TWRP on your phone enter recovery mode with your phone first powered off. Press power button and volume up at the same time. When you see the Umi logo let go off the power button but keep holding the volume key until you see TWRP boot up. Have this file on your sd card before you do this process. Download it from here: https://download.chainfire.eu/10 ... -20170114223742.zip

Now go to install and locate the supersu zip file that you put on your SD card. After flashing it just rebot your phone and that's it, your phone is rooted.

Since you now are rooted i have a very simple but working solution for you that i used myself to get a faster gps fix which also solve the gps to jump around all over the navigaton map (This actually work and i can now use google maps and navigation as intended.)

(THIS FIX REQUIRES THAT YOU HAVE A ROOTED DEVICE TO WORK)

First off you need to make the system able to write in the System folder. (With Nougat this has changed radicly but there is a fix for this. After this you will be able to use Adaway, FasterGPS mods and so forth.) Follow the instructions in this post -------------------> http://www.theandroidsoul.com/ma ... android-7-0-nougat/

After you done this now lets get to the interesting part. Download an app called F-droid :https://f-droid.org/ (Make sure you have unknown sources ticked in the security settings on your phone.)

After installation on your phone let the repository update (it will take a few minutes from when you opened the app)

Now search "FasterGPS" and install it. After installation choose your region and the app will rewrite the gps.config file to the system partation.

Now reboot your phone and that's it, you can now enjoy a functional GPS again.

From F-droid you can download many useful apps from their repository such as FasterGPS and Adaway.

Thank you for the Update, system seems to be faster now.
However i dearly miss the MtkQuickSearchBox (the grey one) which could search all items on the phone. Could you bring this one back?
