Well that is a very good point - The fact that UMI phones and Chinese phones in general are cheap is because they run on cheaper chipsets. But I would rather pay the extra $30 to have a solid chipset, that updates their kernels, provides more support and overall compatibility worldwide.
For instance. I bought the UMI Zero - Great phone for price, but the fact that it hasn't had Android L or even some more patches is purely down to MediaTek. I mean they're the ones who are holding you back aren't they?
In the end it's down to the consumer to buy what suits them. |
