This is the downloadable OTA update file of the

V3.01_20161117 (Android 6.0) firmware

for UMI Plus

In order to be able to upgrade your UMi Plus to Android 7.0 via FOTA method (Wireless update), you have to have this latest Android 6.0 version installed on your device.

UMI Plus receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this update file only if you haven't received or - due to the lack of internet access - you cannot receive it automatically.

This version will not be published in SP Flash Tool format!

Manual (local) OTA update method instructions

1. Copy the downloaded .zip file to either the internal memory or the SD card of your phone

2. Go to Settings --> About phone --> Wireless update

3. Tap the 3-dot menu button at the top right corner and select Local updates

4. Brows for the ...update.zip file and select it

5. Tap Install now, comfirm the process with OK and wait until the process will be finished

Update file for manual OTA update: UMi_Plus_V3.01_20161117_update.zip

Compatible with TWRP but cannot be installed on modified (ever rooted) systems

Optional method (in case if the manual OTA update gets stuck): Install from recovery

You need a microSD card (with at least 4GB capacity) installed in your phone!

• Copy the ...update.zip file to your SD card
• Press and hold the volume-up and power buttons together until your phone restarts. It needs about 10 seconds or a little bit less if your phone was already powered off.
• When your phone is restarted, immediately release the power button but still hold the vol-up button until you see a lying android figure with an exclamation mark in red triangle on its tummy.
• Press and hold the power and vol-up buttons (in this order) together, then release them to call the recovery menu. Now you can move with the volume buttons and select an item with the power button.
• Move to ‘Apply update from SD card’ and select it.
• On the next screen brows for the update file and select it. The updating process will start and needs a few minutes to be finished.
• After a succcessful installation you can read the ''Install from sdcard complete'' message and the receovery menu is available again.
• Select 'Reboot system now'. Alternatively you can perform a factory data reset here by choosing 'Wipe data/factory reset'

I have this rom in my Plus, about one month ago!!!!
But till today there is NO FOTA update

Sorry but you really think that, we share here something, that simply doesn't work? This manual OTA was thoroughly tested before publishing. Set your SD card as external storage and try again.

You can downgrade to an earlier version (I don't recommend, since it's not that simple flashing) and then install this update. Since everything works as the same or better in Nougat, could you describe what your problem is?

My problem is the os is good as it is but the writing while i write sms or any messages is slow and tricky. I guess it depends on the os like with Marshmallow was more simple even if tricky anyway. I have already done by myself anyway the downgrade and cancelled some apps like Velvet from Google and so on and now is running better and simple with more than 2 Gb free Ram. Another question is why if I check the memory menu on settings it declares only 3.8 Gb Ram instead of 4?

UMi Plus 7.0'da güncellendi. Bu rom yüklersem 6'ya geri döneceğim. Veya 6'ya nasıl geri gidebilirim?
Telefon, evde WiFi'ye bağlandığında kendisini de yeniden başlatıyor. Nasıl çözebilirim ??

Good day my UMi Plus is installed in 7.0. If I install this rom I will return to 6. Or how can I get back to 6?
The phone is also restarting itself when connected to WiFi at home. How can i solve it ???

Hi,
You can downgrade your phone by flashing any ROM with SP Flash Tool but no one of the Android 7 versions causes such issues that you mentioned, it's a specific bug on your side that should be discovered.
Try to flash the latest Nougat ROM with flash tool, try to forget your home network and connect to it again and also try to connect to other Wi-Fi routers.
