This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

V3.02_20161211 firmware

for UMI Plus E

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

UMI Plus E receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

ROM: 20161213_g9v57_kw_u3_4m.rar - Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6757_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other elements

SPFT: SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1648.rar

VCOM driver: MT65x3_USB_VCOM_drivers.zip (signed) or Mediatek_Driver_Auto_Installer_1.1352.00.rar (unsigned)

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMI Plus E if the standard method doesn't work. It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMI Plus E to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Why wouldn't it work? I have 7 different UMi smartphones (not a Plus E yet) and the GPS works perfectly in each of them.

\n\n  Must be lucky bencebacsi I ordered UMI Plus E and I hope for working GPS, (my UMI Super not usable, GPS signal skipping 2-3 streets away, so no usable for navigation, UMI Rome works better) But I think this problems is not UMI problems but all Mediatek chipsets have this problem as GPS is not stable. Guys do not compare with Snapdragon processors. Btw I expect problem with UMI Plus E GPS as well but I ordered this fone as my priority is not GPS.
Another problem can be as Mediatek chipset is Chinas product so GPS problems can be implemented regularly. This is just my opinion and reason why of bencebacsi GPS works corectly is using Glonass /I do not know this is my opinion but should be true.

Once again I like UMI products so I ordered UMI Plus E because great and nice product so I exprect 50:50 as GPS will be one big problem but neveremid for me.

No you can't. The two models has different processors - P10 vs P20.

This is the first release, so there's no what to update with this ROM.

If you have any problems with screen sensitivity you can use SGS app from play store to change screen sensitivity.
