i try to use the guide, did everything correctly but the SP flash tool gives me this error: ''ERROR: S_TIMEOUT 0x412'' why cant this tutorial just be properly updated for these phones??

I received the OTA update to android N  7.0
Install ok, no loose of data.
At the first boot i go to settins and for a second appears a menu-item knock-(something). I cant't find it again.
Timely works...! Goo job!
After a day of use in identical conditions before instali the update, battery was dropped in a 1/3 of the previus time.
If it persist is a very bad problem!

You still only need to press the download button and connect your phone. Your issue is probably caused by a bad USB connection. It can be the cable or your USB port or your mainboard chipset drivers. Try to use another USB cable and/or another computer.

You should process a factory data reset after Android version change and start to test your phone in such a clean environment without remaining old system/app resources.

i will try another computer then, cause this computer is brand new, with the 3.0 usb ports. i can hear the phone connect to the computer, but the sp flash tool doesnt recognize it.
any tips on which drives i shouldnt install? from the vista, windows 7 and windows xp drivers availble? all of them, or an specific one?

UMi phones use USB 2.0 connection but the USB 3.0 is backward compatible, so even the drivers provided here should work. I suggest you to update the chipset driver of your PC's motherboard. Also a bad USB cable always can be the reason of such issues.

Will that Root tutorial with TWRP+SuperSU you have here working on 7.0 as well? Im user of few apps that require root (Titaniumbackup for example)

Yes, it will work but first you have to boot into TWRP after flashing it or the stock recovery will be reinstated. If you flash TWRP together with the ROM, after finished, you have to follow this order: 1. boot into TWRP, 2. do nothing there but reboot the system, 3. boot into TWRP and use it anytime you want.
