Android 5.1 update on it's way

Wonderful, I think I bricked my phone. It turns on, goes to the umi logo and then restarts. Does anybody know something I might be able to do to save it? D: I don't remember the key combination for recovery, so I don't know if I can get into recovery or not (tried holding down a few combinations) if I hold volume up and power, it reboots at a faster speed, but no recovery
EDIT: Fixed with flashtool.

I just told a colleague to buy the Umi Emax because it will have Lollipop 5.1 soon (as I have read in a few places), I was hopping by the time she gets the phone (later this week) there would be an update available, because I'm going to be responsible to flash it, and now I see that after all there still is no update? (they already have 3 UMIs in family and this time I advised Emax) just hope she's not going to be angry otherwise I'll stop recommending Umi to others.

Hi. I bought this phone last August and I really like it. Fast response for browsing (internet, fb, twitter,...) and a very good camera (under certain light conditions).

I don't mind having kit kat as an OS (it's secure and works). I would prefer to have Lollipop 5.1 but I don't want to upgrade at any cost. I don't mind waiting for UMI to have it available already tested and safe. I just hope we don't have to wait until the final launch of Android Marshmallow...

Unfortunately it's not about waiting long enough until it is finished or stable. Umi has no idea, how to do it at all and does not want to pay the people who do.

Yes, that's the case. On the other hand, if you've got enough experiences with lollipop phones and look inside yourself, you must acknowledge that, a lollipop upgrade would give us about 10-20% more performance and nothing more. I jumped to UMI eMAX from an HTC mobile running Android 5.1 system but comparing to that phone, I don't feel myself limited by KitKat in any conditions, although yes, that's annoying that my phone could be more powerful. And that's an umbelievably weird case if a manufacturer's highest performance smartphone (eMAX is still that one) runs the most obsolete operating system. We are in that case here.

Well my last phone was a Google Nexus S, so the eMax is even without Lollipop so much bettet.
I actually googled for new features of Android 5 or 5.1 to see, if I'm missing something. It was very underwhelming.

Yes , but at least an update of the camera would be welcome , I would stay umi is on , but if the promises are made , it is more enthusiastically (lollipop in spec, lollipop ad...)

And still nothing.... It has been more than 6 months since I bought this phone, because it was advertised with "Lollipop ready!".

Talk about false advertising jezus!!
