I have the same problem. The screen is fuzzy and has horizontal lines every second pixel. Will changing the LCD+Touch assembly solve the problem? If yes - where to buy replacement part?

Nobody give you any guarantee that spare part have gorilla glass. You can buy screen from aliexpress and apply hardened glass protector.

A) explain me the difference between  F-550028X2N-C and XL0553260B1-33#3 screen version.
and
B) if there is a way to figure out which one I need without taking the phone apart?

I have 2 UMI Max with cracked screens (one Android 7.0 first version the other Android 7.01_20170329

Unfortunately you need open phone and remove screen from frame to see part number.
Different supplier different part number.

My main concern is, will both work on Android 7?
I need to repair 3 phones in all, 2 with cracked screen (mine), one where the gluing becomes loose around the edge (my sons) (All UMI Max)
so since I cannot take them apart my self (very bas eyesight  3/4 blind)m before I invest I would like to knkow which will work, coming from China they are either expensive in shipping or slow to come in.
