Tonight I changed the ROM back to 20160819 (from 20160923, ...

Thank you, Tonyk!
I'm also on 20160810 so this is why I don't see the latest FOTA update. :-(
But I'm really dissapointed, because it's looks like I should be update my MAX with SPFT to 20160819 instead the more convenient FOTA.

(Or maybe we can get the OTA update file, like the latest version???)

Of course I did it. Also cleared the cache. Nothing change ...

If that were related to the ROM, then all handsets would be affected but that's not the case. I suggest you to flash this latest version with SPFT, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option. You'll lose your user data but that's the only method to test the updated ROM in a clean state.

This update also showed up on most of the devices regardless of the locations of the users, so we don't know what will happen at you next time. This place here is to solve such specific issues by making manual update methods available.

About the 0810 version
That was an early release (I also received my test device with that version but 2 weeks before the first handsets were delivered to the resellers), so that's a question, how could such phones go to some end-users.
However, if you are on the 0810 version now, don't flash the 0819 one or your touch screen won't work properly and you might not be able to manage the FOTA update. Just flash this latest version with SPFT and you'll receive the next FOTA update when it's released.

Thank you!

It's really interesting what you wrote. :-( I'm ordered my MAX from Bang**od, they shipped at september 7.
I'm a little bit nervous about "early release"... I hope the phone will be good, haven't any downsides.

But I will try the SPFT updating method to 20160923 at the weekend.
(Fingers crossed. I had bad experiences with ROM updating with this tool. I bricked one of my previous phone because of an faulty ORIGINAL ROM.)

To be honest, sure camera seems to be better in 20160923 but overall device was to my mind better on  0810 ......
   - 4G working better,
   - fingerprint sensitive as it should and not too much or too less,
   - battery consumption seems also to be more efficient, (because I'm half of the day with 58% whereas until yesterday I was not having the same feeling).......

as a summary really disappointed today......

Did someone having 0810 version manage to back it up? or did someone know where I can found a 0810 version repository.......
will continue with the current one for a couple of day, just to be sure that it is not because I'm on a bad mood day, but I think really to go back if possible!

Just my 2 cents...
Florent

Thank you bencebacsi!

In that case, if I choose 'Firmware upgrade', do I need to untick the preloader checkbox for security reasons or leave all checkbox marked?
Is it safe to use this option? I have never used it before.

Tök jó, hogy angolul erőlködünk magyarként ;)

Sajnos, ez itt angol nyelvű fórum, a magyart pedig nem nagyon van időm látogatni mostanában.  Post time 2016-10-7 06:31

Don't worry, that's the same phone without any weaknesses. Also don't worry about SPFT. That's impossible to permanently brick your UMi phone with it, not even if you flash the ROM of a completely different model. An unexpected blacjout or computer freezing is also not a problem: you can start your flashing again if needed.
