I've just noticed that Android 6 is due to start rollout with at least one carrier 10 days from now. This essentially means the phone I purchased from UMI 2 weeks ago will be 2 generations behind. That's not good enough. If there is no working Android Lollipop made available by close of play Friday my handset will be getting returned and I will go to another manufacturer. I will also advise the people in my office who have purchased the same model on my recommendation to do likewise.

I wish you the best of luck trying to return a non faulty handset. No company will refund your money for the reason that you are unwilling to wait for an upgrade.
@leodensian . the product was sold with a claim that it would be upgraded to android lollipop. since android marshmallow is in final development I believe UMI have been given a reasonable opportunity to make good on their claims. since nobody from UMI is willing to come forward and clarify the situation then worst case scenario can be assumed. I have already contacted the amazon seller to clarify their position and if i'm not happy with their response i'll contact amazon and see what their perspective on the issue is.
Marshmallow is not that great milestone in the Android history as the lollipop version. The lollipop upgrade is delayed seriously but will be released. The exact day actually has not been announced. Recently a UMI team member promised a facebook announcement in a few days. I don't know what will be that.
