It's almost there, why can't UMI recognise this and help towards development? It would increase their reach within the android community expendentialy. The UMI Super is begging for a new ROM
I'm watching this "development"* with interest but by obvious reason (possible copyright issues and others) UMi cannot officially support this project. This kind of job is for independent developers. I hope, you can understand. This forum is open to share such private contents and to make discussions about them.
Regards,
Bence
* I've put that word between quotes since porting the ROM of a device to another device is a hard job but not a real software development.
Thanks Bence for replying to this thread. I did say "Development" not necessarily "Software Development" - Meaning the developing progress of such projects.

It is a pity that it always comes back to contradictory statements.

Then this post is apparently just a lie.

Dear users,
This news seems to be true (officially confirmed) but the outcome is not known yet. UMi has been contracted with a professional developer team (their name is not for the public yet), that's working on a CM13 ROM for UMi Super.
We'll come back with concrete information in the near future. Until that I sincerely ask for your patience.
I see good opportunities for UMi in the European market.
The products have great potential.
Now it is important that UMi exploited this potential and also takes care of its customers.
Who lets his customers in the dark or is lying, will not succeed.
and with so many translation issues and bugs the europeans wont be happy. if something is not working we dont buy it!! and , to be honest, is there only 1 guy for the whole forum?
Why are you asking to a company (UMI) to develop or release a product of another one (CM). It is pointless, if you understand how business goes. The only thing that UMI could do, is the release of the source codes. Until then, it will be just a stable Mtk ROM porting. If you are unhappy with your device, here is a possible solution. Download it and flash it, because I never seen an official brand released cm13 in my life.
I did not ask in the forum if UMi wants to develop CM13.
I have just asked if anyone has heard whether ANY developer is already working on CM13 for UMi Super.
After the first reports of CM13 for the UMi Super have appeared on the Internet,

The question whether UMi developes CM13 for the Super so NOT went out of me.
It's not really a contradiction. UMi has hired a team to create an original CM13 release (not a ported one) but we have no results from them yet. We will publish that release if they can make it but we won't if they can't. Any software never can be perfect but we cannot release official ROMs with missing basic features. So my earlier post didn't mean that to support a non-contracted developer, that came out of the blue with a ported ROM. We appreciate a such kind of activity of users but the company strategy is quite a different thing, where much stricter rules are applied. Hope, you understand.
