Please help!! I am experiencing the exact same problem that luferro has.
I tried flashing the original recovery tool to the TWRP (TWRP_3.02_UMI_Super.img) using SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1628. Everything seemed like it was OK, I had no errors during the flash process, but trouble started after I rebooted my phone to recovery mode. The touchscreen is registering touches on different locations than where I touch the screen. The middle of the screen seems to do nothing at all. It seems very random where I have to touch to get the correct click on the screen, but it is consistent. For example, left upper corner is somehow linked to the left lower bottom of the screen.
Tried reinstalling the USB drivers manually, but since the phone was already connecting correctly I did not expect this to be the solution, and it turned out it did not help either.
After that I tried flashing older ROMs as well, unfortunately with no result.
I tried with two older versions of the SP Flash Tool aswell, but also no succes.
I don't know what caused this sudden change in touchscreen behaviour. But since it's just caused after flashing, I would have expected the full "Firmware Upgrade" would rewrite the original software settings to the phone and therefore fix my problem, but unfortunately it didnt.
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues and ofcourse if somebody found a solution to this problem! Right now the phone is useless.
Below some examples of where I touch the screen, the white circle indicating where the phone thinks I'm touching.
