umi will cost you more expensive than other brands of phones, 169 usd for the phones with lots of problems this is not a deal. In the one year I bought a umi zero and it is really zero as phone and super umi which is not great. Touch problems, one month after the purchase. Now I have to buy a third phone in a single year. What is certain, I will not buy umi phone brand

I do not understand the release of this phone? It's almost like the spare parts ram chips and screens have been put together to make the umi max? What separates this phone from the UMI Super? There is no doubt people will buy this phone but why opt for this when you can have the UMI Super for nearly the same price?

More focus needs to be on ROM development rather than releasing another phone.

Just a few differences related to UMI SUPER

. UMI MAX has: 1.8GHz Octa Core, 3GB RAM, 16GB ROM.

In UK I ordered two phones from China by just looking at the spec.  Previously I have 3 models from Zopo and knew nothing about other brands.

The UMI Super was available so I got it about a month ago.  Its gps is normal and everything works.  Last weekend I drove to London in a 800 miles round trip.  The gps misbehaved about 3 times each lasting less than a minute.

Don't have complaint on the UMI Super except its camera is substandard to bands which are cheaper.  The camera works but the quality is poor and the focus not sharp.  In video one can see the frames are moving slowly too.

My other phone is a Vernee Apollo Lite arrived three days ago.  It has just come out.  It costs 7% dearer than UMI Super but its 10-core MTK 6797 at 2.3GHz is definitely faster than the 8-core MTK 6755 at 2GHz on the UMI.  UMI detected 10 satellites triangulating 18ft accuracy but the Vernee does it with 22 satellites to 17 ft accuracy when I has both tested side by side.  Vernee camera is superior to UMI.  The phone is lighter as it got 3280 mAh battery while UMI has 4000 mAh. Both spec are nearly identical but the Vernee's x20 chitpset is a newer generation than UMI's x10 so everything seems faster and smoother.

I now put UMI Super in the drawer as the wife refuses to use it because it is too heavy for her.

Do not buy UMI. Understand UMI MAX and now it does not work ... it has not been six months since I bought it. Do not throw your money away !!
