Two days after receiving the phone, it fall down about 30 cm out of my pocket on linoleum ground.  There is no single mark on the cover of the phone.

I was very surprised to see a least two scratches on the display.  One is 7 cm long and deep enough to feel it with my nails.  It's in the middle of the display.

I have to say that all of my phones fell at least once in their lifetime with me.  I never had a broken display, sometime i had micro-scratchs you barely see.  But i never had such a scratch like the one on the Super.

I am a bit unsure about the quality of the glass.  Even JerryRigEverything (@youtube) says in his review that the glas is softer than on other tested phones.

Completely agree with your comments on Beatertech. Often annoying and useless, I pay no attention to his posts.

Still waiting for UMI reps to give their faces out, and explain what kind of glass is really on the UMI SUPER...

I feel so robbed by this Brand...

I feel like the super is half true, half lies and marketing BS from the manufacturer...

Wake up call to me... next time i will go with a good brand like LG, Sony, or Samsung...

Dear Users,

UMi, as many other smaller smartphone manufacturers gets the gorilla glass parts from a retailer, not directly from Corning. Here's a list (just a short one by a quick search) of some other brands advertised with Gorilla Glass but are missing in the list.

Ulefone: http://ulefone.com/products/paris/spec.html
Oppo: http://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_r5-6753.php
LeTV: http://www.gsmarena.com/leeco_le_max-8054.php
Xiaomi: http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_5-6948.php
Vernee: http://www.vernee.cc/product-thor-overview.html

And once more the list of verified products: http://www.corning.com/gorillagl ... s-with-gorilla.html
Hope you don't think all of these manufacturers are also cheaters. Google is not only my friend.

The battery claim was confuted here: http://goo.gl/z9bx2l
The same story: The battery cells come from retailers.

The photos published by UMi (not on third party sites) contain the original EXIF info, that identifies the capturing device.

Sincerely,
Bence
