You can overwrite any version by any version with SPFT. No special solutions are needed.

Hi there, to whoever might be able to help,

For various reasons, I tried following the instructions here to flash the secure boot image to the phone. My phone was on the 0923 firmware at the time. Using SP flash tools with just the boot drive selected - it did flash successfully but the phone got stuck on boot, which wasn't really surprising I guess.

So I got the full 20160616 firmware and flashed the whole thing back on top (using the original boot image that came with the rom), and it seemed to go fine. However for some reason, now my touch screen went haywire. Basically touching the middle of the screen selects the bottom somewhere, touching the bottom selects the middle somewhere, touching the top seems to do nothing, and I can't seem to touch the middle part of the screen at all.

Any idea why this might happen? Googling gave me this result - https://sites.google.com/site/fixedandoidtouchscreen/ - which seems like a similar problem - would that solution work maybe? Thanks for the help!
