That's always better to use the latest drivers but anyway the old one is perfectly compatible with Win10 x64. It might have a compatibility issue with the MT6755 Soc or you just had a bad USB connection temporarily. It will be investigated later.

That's the factory mode, not the recovery. You can boot into the bootloader by powering on your phone while pressing the volume-up button, then you can move in the menu with the vol-up button and select recovery with the vol-down button.

In my case old one didn't work.

Phone was discovered by PC and SPFT but couldn't start flashing process.

Possibly PC hardware related. Hard to say. New one solved the problem.

What does the new USB 3 port means at you? Please use directly a USB port of the motherboard of your PC. If you have USB 2.0 ports, use a such one instead.
