hola a todos:
tengo un UMI Emax mini pero desde hace un mes tienes problemas para encender el wifi, lo apague y lo prendi de nuevo y no hizo nada, lo resetee de fabrica y nada, lo flashee con la ultima version, lo he llevado a servicio tecnico a que le resoldaran el modulo wifi pero tampoco funciono quiero pensar que es un problema del sistema ya que tambien se esta reiniciando mucho sin razon , quiero opiniosnes si me falte un driver algun archivo de confguracion, por lo pronto le pedirian a alguien que tenga el mismo telefono con acceso root me pueda mandar una copia de su carpeta /data/misc/wifi para ver si con una configuracion que funcione se soluciona,   la otra opcion sera cambiar de rom a CyanogenMod 12.1 .... prefiero respuestas en español pero si no en ingles

I have a UMI Emax mini but a month have trouble turning on the wifi, turn it off and prendi again and did nothing, the reset of manufactures and nothing, flashee with the latest version, I've taken technical service that resoldaran the wireless module, but not I run I think it is a system problem as well is restarting much without reason, I opiniosnes if me a driver some file confguration missing, so soon would ask someone who has the same phone with root access can send me a copy of your folder / data / misc / wifi to see if a working configuration is fixed, the other option will change to CyanogenMod 12.1 rOM...............i prefer answer in spanish otherwise in english

Sin embargo, si como comentas después de flashear la stock sigue sin ir el wifi lo más probable es que sea un problema de hardware.

Anyway, if after flashing the stock firmware the problem persists, it's most likely a hardware failure.

The antennas problems with Umi is commom to all versions, included GPS, 4G and WI FI. The problem is very simple to solve. The problem is that the WI fi , 4G and GPL antennas that are on the internal mother board plastic cover inside Umi, are not enought pulled up to touch on the other part of the Umi specific hardware in motherboard once you close this plastic cover. Solution is open it and pull up a little bit each of this pieces of metal atachhed to the motherboard antennas plastic cover.

May be Umi factory employees are not real Umi employees, they are sub contracted factorys to lower the production prices at Umi levels. And you know this guys maybe give bonus if an employee surpass a certain productivity, and they dont bother to loose time pulling up a little bit more each antenns because it will take more time... ;0(

You need to remove 1st cover, then this cover and you will see pieces of metal that are not enought up to touch the hardware connections of wi fi, 4g and Gps in the mother board, so once you close this cover you will see this pieces of metal dont touch it or stay only very close to it.

With an precision knife like X-act or other you need to pull this pieces of metal a little up on a way that they touch the hardware once you close it.

After this my GPs started worked more faster and accuratly then ever and 4G internet speed and ping goes to the roof . Amazing !

Did somebody try it on UMI eMAX Mini - given YouTube movie demonstrates on UMI X1 model, but maybe it works similarly for eMAX Mini as well.

Btw, I've seen others reporting problems with WiFi (no WiFi, intermittent WiFi on/off) here and elswhere - might be really a problem with loosy connection between the antenna and motherboard
