This is the SP Flash Tool version of the

v3.01_20160513 firmware

for UMI Super

Flash tool operation is recommended for experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

UMI Super receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricekd your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

ROM: 20160513_c239v55_kw_u1.rar - Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6755_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other elements

SPFT: SP_Flash_Tool_Win_v5.1552.rar (use this one instead of the old version linked in the UMI forum guide)

VCOM driver: MT65x3_USB_VCOM_drivers.zip (still compatible with MT67xx phones)




Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMI Super if the standard method doesn't work. It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop.
1. Connect your UMI Super to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

I have followed your steps however the download process never starts. If I try to connect my phone to PC via adb it works fine. Any help?

Tried many times and now it gets stuck in red bar on SP tools.

Try to use another USB port (don't use a hub) or cable.

Thanks finally managed to flash recovery after trial and error.

Hello  I am new here with a UMI super and i can't upgrade the rom with fota  I tried with sp tool and the red bar doesn't appear i am under windows 10 on my computer and it's impossible to install the mtk usb drivers can you help me please

Hi,

Could you describe why you can't update your phone with FOTA? What's the error message that you get or where does the updating process get stuck?
The VCOM driver provided here is a signed one and perfectly compatible with Windows 10. I suggest you to try to use another USB port (don't connect to a USB hub) and/or cable and get through carefully the guides about the usage of SP Flash Tool.

For the fota it gives me an error message with no explanation

My phone is ok but it's impossible to reboot on recovery mode I always get a red flash, I tried to reinstall tje recovery with sp flashtool but the probmem is always here, Can You help me?

Hi,

Could you tell me what "red flash" means at you? If your phone is not rooted, you can't reboot into recovery from the running Android. In that case you can boot into recovery by powering on your phone while pressing down the volume-up button. Move with the vol-up button in the boot menu and select recovery with the vol-down button. Then in the (stock) recovery menu you can move with both volume buttons and select an item with the power button.
