The latest FOTA update has introduced a new bug: If you touch or press the home button while using the Chrome web browser, it reacts as if you have touched the Menu key:

This causes problems when you are trying to exit the app via the Home button.

I have to say it is a very odd unattractive 'feature', since it causes the screen to flash as the menu pops up every time you press the Home button to exit Chrome. It makes the phone seem buggy and unpolished.

Respectfully, it is not a new feature; it is a new bug introduced as a result of changes made to the fingerprint reader's integration with the Google Play Store in the latest FOTA update.

Dear users,

Touching the home button calls the local menu in Chrome browser, pressing it jumps to the home screen. It's a new feature, not a bug.

Regards,
Bence

Hey. In your case, the problem may be the presence of malware on your computer https://soft2secure.com/knowledgebase/chromesearch-win
