Hi,

I just bought a UMIDIGI S (helios p20).

Hi,

I'm sorry but the UMIDIGI S is secured by Efuse partition protection, that makes it impossible to flash a patched boot.img or custom recovery. That's the reason why you can't find TWRP for this model.

Hi guys,
Need some help here.
I'm trying to flash my super but i think its not entering flashing mode. At least none of my 2 pcs recognizes it. (win 7 and win 10).
I'm not new to spflash tools, already did lots of flashes on Mtk devices, lets see:
Drivers installed, scatter and rom from umi forum loaded, phone Powered off, when i connect usb to phone nothing happens, no detection on Windows. After a few seconds it starts charging.
I have 2 umi super, both with same behaviour. What cole it be?? Any key press im missing?
Any clues??
They both work perfectly excepto for the batteries that have some good cycles and charge at half the speed now.
Appart from that all working weell boot charge and daily use.
Some help please im desperate.

UMI eMAX mini has not a MediaTek chip. It's a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939.
Any suggestion to debrick the phone ?

Don't forget to enable USB debugging on your phone before proceed.
Known issue: The driver installer doesn't contain adb drivers for recovery mode. You'll be able to establish USB adb connection only under running Android, not in recovery.

For the custom recovery/root installation method described in this topic, no USB debugging is required. It's about MediaTek based smartphones.
