Ok, TWRP is not replaced now... its working fine...

one quick question.... what if i wanted to re ...

1. You cannot install OTA updates with TWRP.
2. In SP Flash Tool those partitions will be overwritten, that youi leave checked. If you uncheck the recovery parition, it won't be overwritten.

so if i maintain TWRP as my recovery, then every singletime we get OTA , i gotta take the flashable zip and format the whole system ... hmm

If you don't root your phone, just flash TWRP on it, that's enough to just flash the stock recovery again before processing the OTA update. Or you can flash the updated ROM with SP Flash Tool without the userdata partition, so you can keep your user data.

Hi,

I have tried to follow this guide (as well as many others) but everytime I try to connect the SP Flash Tool to my UMI Super the Flash Tool does not start the download process (i.e. the red bar never starts). I have been told that it is due to not the drivers functioning properly. I have installed all the MT65XX drivers correctly (as again I have followed multiple guides on how to install the drivers correcty) so it should not be a problem with my drivers. I have tried to run the flash tool on windows 7, 8.1 and 10 using bootcamp on my mac all with the same result. I have not tried to unlock my bootloader but it appears that is not required for the UMI Super. I am at a loss as to what can be done so any feed back on how to get this working would be great.

Hello all,

i have a UMI Super with 20161121.ROM and i search to root the phone and install TWRP recovery.
i have test a lot of scatter file and a lot of TWRP3.02 but any of them work.I have a reboot with black screen or the droid lay down all the time.
Can somebody help me and someone have make it succesfull with this rom?

Hi, I am Brazilian the download was successful, but I cannot start the recovery system. If I press the volume up butten with the start button, my mobile just starts and "no command" appears.. My mobile is a new UMI super with Android 7.0 I used the SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1648 and downloaded the scatter file of the 20170308_c239v55_kw_u1 package. So, do I use the wrong scatter file or the wrong flash tool.. ?? Helpe me please!
