Please, check in your Windows device manager whether the preloader COM port device appears when connecting your phone. It might be simply a USB connection error. Try to use another USB cable or port and don't connect to a USB hub.
hello! twrp touch is crazy on my new umi super with the last update. i used the proper scatter file, but touch is misplacing buttons. because twrp doesnt work withou touching on the buttons, I'm not able to complete the rooting tutorial (choose and flash SU). what can I do? pls somebody tell me if there's another twrp to test here. thanks
I'd like to mention that only TWRP is with crazy touch. After system boot, eveything seems ok. I tried to use volume buttons but only Power works to lock the twrp, so it's useless. I'm trying to "map" where touching reacts on twrp, but it's ridiculously difficult.
Well... I guess the hard way is glorious. I made several copies of the SU zip to all folders to increase my chances of hitting it. I found where "install" was on the touch matrix, and then I found the other buttons. Now I got root. *flies away*
After flashing the recovery, first time boot your phone into recovery. You can do it by powering on your phone with keeping the volume-up button pressed.
