obviously NO.. with TWRP and/or Root OTA won't be possible!

Some OTA updates could be installed with TWRP on rooted phones but not all of them, that's true. Sometimes it's worth to make a try.

Hi,

If you had flashed really the latest ROM on your phone, you wouldn't have such issues. So please download the latest ROM from here, and flash it.

Edited by dustojnikhummer at 2016-12-1 02:05 \n\n Edited by dustojnikhummer at 2016-12-1 02:04 \n\nHello. I just got my Umi Plus (after almost 2 moths). And. I want to transfer few apps+data from my old LG D405n. Unfortunatelly,I was not able to flash TWRP. On my PC that has only USB 3 ports program would not work and on my laptop that has 2.0 it would finish, say OK but it would not actually flash anything at all, still with stock recovery. And as far as I know,Root on Android 6.0 can be only obtained by flashing 3rd party recovery. Am I the only one with this issue?Edit: I tried to flash recovery after OTA update I got after I first booted up device. And I would also like to change DPI (everything is too big) and do few other changes I was used to on my old phone with Cyanogenmod that are not avaliable in UMis ROM.

Hi,

I also had a screen problem on my Super, so I bought a new one (they were no longer screens with frame, it was complicated to change) and when finally I succeeded, I installed TWRP.
I had the same problems as @petittux in TWRP, not after boot.
So I read this thread and flashed the last rom you linked (format all + download). Restart, all good. Then I flashed TWRP 3.02 for Umi Super and BOOM, the touch screen still doesn't work...

Help ?

I followed your instructions but when I reboot with PWR Btn + VOL Up it comes out an Android screen with "No tools" written.
I tried also booting with PWR Btn + Vol Dwn but it comes out a "Factory Mode" menu with Test sub menu and "Reboot" option. If Reboot is selected, normal reboot starts.
No Recovery menu found.
Ideas?

First try to flash the preloader only of the latest ROM, then flash all partitions but choose the 'Firmware Upgrade' option, not format all...
After you finished with the flashing, reboot into recovery for the first time.
