Actually I already did it with Ulephone S8 pro with no problem, so I know how to do, I can try again ...

TWRPs are created by independent users, not by the manufacturer. If I find a working TWRP for any UMI(DIGI) model, I share it here. Not every phone anyway. For example custom recoveries cannot be flashed on UMI OS based devices (except the C Note 2), so you can't see a single UMI OS phone with Efuse partition protection (C2, S, S2 Pro, Z1 Pro) in the list.

Edited by diomorgan at 2018-6-22 08:34 \n\nLooks like this post has the TWRP FOR A1 Pro actually there's a link form 16th of june on 4pda.ru too froma "JAMMI" someone common even on XDA HERE but, for me is impossible to download, it gaves 404 error...
About the first link only one time I was lucky enaught to install TWRP via ADB, but it was in russian.
Trying to change lenguage I rebooted the phone and now every try I make to install it §(after unlocking) returns the KO dead droid with the chest opened and error message :-(
Actually the file says it's for A1 Pro, but some sites just recompress some MTK standard TWRP...even if ONE time I saw it! :-)
P.S.:Fin ally I rooted the phone patching the boot.img eith magisdk, no recovery, but at least the backup and restore from my primay phone was pretty vanilla.
Only one thing ù(I talked about it in an italian forum): samsung SD 64GB evo+ or 16GBEVO (and the 16GB evo complain to be slow too) are not recognize in the right way when adopted.
Someone adopted his sd card?
Can share the brand and size and version?

A1 Pro TWRP has been added to the list. See the description. If you've already rooted your phone with Magisk, the stock recovery won't be restored after flashing TWRP. Original Samsung EVO SD cards work properly with this phone.
How to get the recovery menu in stock recovery:
  • Press and hold the volume-up and power buttons together until your phone restarts in the boot selector mode. It needs about 10 seconds or a little bit less if your phone was already powered off.
  • Here you can move with the vol-up button and select an item with vol-down. Select Recovery.
  • Your phone boots into Recovery and you see a lying android figure with an exclamation mark in red triangle on its tummy + 'No command'.
  • Press and hold the power and vol-up buttons (in this order) together, then release them to call the recovery menu. Now you can move with both volume buttons, and select an item with the power button.

I recently managed to install the twrp and do it in the umidigi Z1 I do not know if it also works in Z1Pro, I downloaded a recovery from any site and on that site asked to try with Magisk so I tried and got it worked!#SITE:https://www.kbloghub.com/2018/02 ... umidigi-z1.html?m=1
#Recommending to use the latest version of magisk Beta 16.4 was the one I used, and if you can add at the top of this page administrator Magisk would be great because not always SuperSu works !!

I've been planning to publish a Magisk tutorial for quite a while already. Maybe I'll make it done this weekend.

Hi,
Custom recoveries are developed by skilled but simple users, not by the manufacturer (other companies are not different), so here we can't promise that. However, with Magisk Manager you most probably will be able to root the Z2 Pro since it will be shipped with stock Android 8.1.
