That's a known "issue" of any device that receives updates via FOTA. If you flash a stock ROM on your phone (you can find them here in the ROM section), it will be able again to receive FOTA updates.
A few days after its FOTA release, each update gets published here in flashable version, so you don't unconditionally need to be able to update your phone via FOTA.

after scatter loading i choose recovery and pres download but nothing happens do i have to go on download mode or something

En mi Umi Super la ultima actualizacion via OTa 2016-6-21 no se puede instalar, da error, y ademas cuando realizo y recibo llamadas se pone por defecto el altavoz del telefono, que hay que desactivarlo nanualmente!!!! Espero respuesta. Thanks

You have to power off your phone and just connect to USB after clicking the Download button. You don't have to set your phone, just turn it off.

this would be alot easier if we could unlock the bootloader. fastboot oem unlock command works but i can't use the volume buttons, so i can't press anything and unlocking bootloader is impossible if you can't press any buttons.

The MT67xx series is the first Soc family at MediaTek, that's able to run in fastboot mode. However, the fastboot functions are still limited. You can't unlock the bootloader (even if the buttons work properly, the process will fail) and can't flash partitions or if can (boot and recovery only), it will brick your phone.
The bootloader can be unlocked by decompiling, editing (default.prop: ro.secure=0) and recompiling the boot image. Morever, UMi Super's bootloader is unlocked by default, the ro.secure line is set to zero.

After you get familiar with SP Flash Tool, you'll see that, it's an easy and fast application, and unlike a fastboot flashing method, you never can permanently brick your phone with it.
